Resident evil 2 remake , it is still worth it in 2025?

Resident evil 2 remake is my favourite game of resident evil series , bc it has a lot  of memories it just

an amazing game S tier it deserves 9.5/10 Easily and there is why :

Gameplay

Controls are tight and responsive, whether you’re taking cover from Lickers or lining up a headshot. The over‑the‑shoulder camera blends classic survival horror with modern action , This was so good for me bc it was realistic  .

Don't forget to save your ammo ! This is so scary thing when you surrounded by zombies and no ammo

Graphics

Even if it is 2019 Game

the graphic was perfect , Lights, shadows , Dark areas , The police station , and perfection for a good horror  game .

Story and atmosphere

You get two intertwined campaigns (Leon and Claire), each adding new layers to the outbreak. The pacing balances exploration, puzzle‑solving, and pure panic.

Familiar locations get fresh details—secret files, alternate routes, and subtle lore drops—so even series vets discover something new.

If you finished any one of the routes you will have the 2nd run of the another

Sound design and music

Ambient noises rats scurrying, keep your heart rate up.

And the sound of Mr x feet is so disturbingand give a psychological horror

Best sounds i have heard that freaked me out

Challenge and replayability

Difficulty options let you tailor the scare level. Hardcore mode is brutal—one wrong step can cost you dearly.

Speedrun timers, unlockable costumes, and the “2nd Run” campaign incentives add hours of replay value once you clear the main story (usually 6–8 hours per character).

Some negative things

Some puzzles feel a bit recycled from the original, though the new context and updated visuals give them fresh life.

Inventory micromanagement can slow the pace in an otherwise fluid experience.

Conclusion

All in all, Resident Evil 2 Remake strikes a fantastic balance between nostalgia and innovation. It’s a must‑play for horror fans and a solid entry point for newcomers. 9.5/10
